PCA Abroad 2028: Japan Is Calling!

Tokyo. Hiroshima. Miyajima Island. Osaka. Bullet trains. Ancient shrines. Neon streets. Karaoke. And incredible Japanese food.

In March 2028, PCA Abroad is heading to Japan for an unforgettable nine-day adventure! This is much more than sightseeing—it is an opportunity for students and adult chaperones to experience a country where centuries of tradition exist alongside some of the most advanced technology and dynamic cities in the world.

Japan's story is one of extraordinary transformation. Our journey will allow us to explore its imperial past, reflect on the impact of World War II, and experience the peaceful, innovative, technologically advanced Japan of today.

Tokyo: Where It All Begins

Our adventure starts in Tokyo, a city of incredible contrasts. We'll explore the Imperial Palace Plaza, experience the energy and fashion of Harajuku, walk through the world-famous Shibuya district, and escape the bustle of the city at the peaceful Meiji Shinto Shrine. We'll also visit historic Asakusa Kannon Temple and explore the electronics and pop-culture center of Akihabara.

From Yokohama to Hiroshima

Next, we travel to Yokohama, taking in panoramic views from the Sky Garden and visiting the historic Hikawa Maru before boarding one of Japan's most iconic innovations—the bullet train! We'll travel to Hiroshima while enjoying a traditional bento dinner along the way.

In Hiroshima, we'll visit the Peace Park and Memorial Museum, providing a powerful opportunity to reflect on the events that ended World War II and their lasting impact. The following day, we'll travel by ferry to beautiful Miyajima Island and visit the spectacular Itsukushima Shrine.

Osaka: The Perfect Finale

Our final destination is Osaka, where we'll visit historic Osaka Castle, enjoy karaoke in our own private room, and experience the excitement of Dotonbori. Travelers will have the opportunity to discover Japanese street-food favorites such as takoyaki, taiyaki, and okonomiyaki while exploring one of Osaka's most energetic districts.
